CodeVibes (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Timesheet: Work Hours Tracker mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to ensuring your personal privacy. Our core philosophy is built upon being Private by Design & 100% Offline.

This Privacy Policy outlines how our App manages, protects, and retains your data.

1. Information Collection and Storage (100% On-Device)

  • Zero Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, transmit, sell, or sync your personal identity, contact lists, or physical location to any external cloud servers.
  • On-Device Local Storage: All information you record within the App—such as shift hours, hourly wage rates, job profiles, overtime preferences, break times, travel mileage, expense receipts, shift notes, and employer/employee names—is stored strictly on your local device.
  • No Account Registration: You are not required to create an account, register an email, or sign in via third-party providers to use the App.

2. System Permissions & Device Usage

The App requests only minimal permissions strictly required to execute user-initiated actions:

  • Storage & File Access (Scoped): Required exclusively when you explicitly choose to generate, preview, or export PDF/CSV timesheets, or save and restore local JSON backup files. The App never inspects other files or personal media on your device.
  • Native Share Services: Invoked only when you actively trigger system share dialogs to send timesheets or backup files via external tools (such as Email, WhatsApp, or Drive).

3. Third-Party Services & Analytics

  • The App does not include tracking pixels, behavioral tracking SDKs, or targeted third-party ad networks.
  • Standard mobile platform frameworks provided by Google Play Services may aggregate basic, non-personally identifiable diagnostic metrics (e.g., operating system version, ANR/crash occurrences) solely to ensure application reliability and performance.

4. Data Retention, Backup & Deletion

  • User Sovereignty: Because all records reside on your local hardware, you retain full authority over your data lifecycle.
  • Soft-Delete & Trash Recovery: Shifts marked for deletion are archived in your local Trash Bin and can be restored or permanently cleared at any time.
  • Permanent Data Erasure: Clearing app data via your device settings or uninstalling the App permanently purges all local databases, shift history, and configuration files, unless an external JSON backup was previously exported.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our App is a general productivity tool intended for working professionals, freelancers, and hourly employees. We do not knowingly solicit or harvest information from children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no data, no child-specific data is processed.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect future architectural updates. Any revisions will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” timestamp.
